How are you feeling? I’m sure you’ve been watching the news regarding the virus that is sweeping the world. Stay safe and keep in mind that contagion can be prevented with handwashing and gargling.
This time, I would like to introduce five recommended items for small bass amps when playing bass at home.
These are the five amps that I chose based on my biases and prejudices.

I chose small ones because I thought they were just right for playing at home. These are also recommended for those who considering starting the bass. I hope you’ll find one to your liking.
HARTKE / HD15 bass combo amp
One of the features of the HD15 is that the balance between treble and bass is very good despite the small output and size of the main unit. Even if you raise the volume, it will not get distorted (it feels clean), so it can be recommended for rock, pop and jazz. I think that it is easy to use for acoustic bass as well.
The EQ (changes the atmosphere of the sound) has three bands and is on par with the standard models, it also has an AUX terminal (allows you to play music if you connect it to a smartphone with a cable), and a PHONE terminal that can be connected to headphones. This one is more than enough for practicing at home.
AMPEG / (BA-108 V2) classic bass amplifier
This is more cost-effective than the others. I don't think there are any others with these specs at a price of about 10,000.
The sound is slightly distorted compared to the other amps. I recommend this for rock and pop for who are pounding rather than those who want to play acoustic jazz. This also has a 3-band EQ, AUX terminal and PHONE terminal. By the way, there is a knob for adjusting the AUX volume from the amplifier as well.
FENDER / RUMBLE 15 V3
The characteristic of this amp is that it produces a standard sound (the sound of the instrument itself). Other than bass amps, you may be able to use this for acoustic guitars as well. In terms of genre, I think this is good for playing an acoustic type of sound. However, if the volume is too high, it will get distorted. Even if it is distorted, the sound from the headphones will not get distorted (maybe the enclosure itself -- the exterior of the amplifier -- is resonating,). If you have something from the world famous FENDER brand in your arsenal, you can boast to everyone. Also, the knobs have a center click (identifies the middle value of the knob), so the operability of the knob is the best. This amp also has an AUX terminal and a PHONE terminal with a 3-band EQ.
VOX / Pathfinder Bass 10 Bass Amplifier
The main feature of this model is that it has a drive function (distortion adjustment). This makes it possible to produce a sufficiently driven sound (a pleasantly distorted sound that allows you to rock) without an effector (equipment that changes the tone of the bass). In addition, it has a bright switch, and when pressed, the treble is boosted, so it can be recommended for those who want to play slap bass (playing by flipping the strings with your fingers). It is best for those who want to play intense music, metal, hard rock, etc. It does not have an AUX terminal, but has a 2-band EQ and a PHONE terminal.
Laney / RB1
The feature of this amp is that it has a drive function like the VOX amplifier above.
But I don't feel the distortion like the VOX; I need more distortion! This needs an effector. However, it can be adjusted for distortion, so it is recommended for those who want to play rock and pop music. In addition, since it has a compressor function (a function to equalize the sound volume), it is recommended for those who want to play slap bass.
It also has a 3-band EQ with AUX and PHONE terminals.
I wrote a lot, but the best way to figure out what suits you is to connect and play your instrument!
If you are interested, try them out! !
(Conclusion)
Hand washing & gargling are a must, but when you’re not washing your hands or gargling at home, play your bass.
