I guess many guitarists have thought about or always think about their improving their Beloved Guitar: “I love it but still can it be a bit better?” “It would be perfect if this was improved!”
This time, for those guitarists out there, I’m going to introduce some helpful and convenient guitar parts!
ESP / SPLIT SHAFT SPACER 1.5mm
ESP / SPLIT SHAFT SPACER 1.0mm
This one is convenient when you install knobs, particularly metal knobs which are installed using setscrews on the side, to a pot that has a jagged split shaft as pictured. Putting this into the gap of the split shaft prevents pot shaft damage caused by over tightening of setscrew breaking the shaft, and the resulting misaligned or malfunctioning knobs.
It’s also convenient when you want to change to HATA knobs, which have been gaining a lot of popularity today. The position dot on the knob doesn’t stop where you want when you actually try to change the knob to a split shaft pot… it happens. In such a case, this part helps you adjust the dot position to where you want it to be.
It’s also helpful that there are two versions for pot different specifications!
VIBRAMATE / Spoiler Silver
I bet you can’t guess how to use this part just by looking at the picture.
This is a convenient part installed on a Bigsby, making it easier to change the strings. It releases you from the hassle of restringing a Bigsby; hooking the ball end onto the pin, tightening the string so that it doesn’t come off.
Also, I personally feel this part slightly lowers the tension of the strings. It’s not the original purpose, but I like to use it for this effect.
I recommend it not only for making restringing easier, but also if high string tension bothers you.
FLOYDROSE / Push In Style Tremolo Arm Chrome
For the guitarists who’ve been too lazy to tighten the tremolo arm of the Floyd Rose, and used it loose, breaking the housing… I guess I’m not the only one! lol
I recommend this convenient part for lazy people such as myself!
You can modify the tremolo arm into a pop-in type; you just insert an arm, like the GOTOH 510 series!
Now why don’t you make your Floyd Rose easier to use!?
HOLLOW POINT / Hollow Point Intonation System SATIN CHROME
One more from Floyd Rose related parts!
Saying that the Floyd Rose is the most frustrating guitar bridge to set intonation on is not an over-statement, is it?
If you agree, I recommend this item!
This part makes it not only way easier to set the intonation on a Floyd Rose, but it also makes it quicker and stress-free!
MONTREUX / Electrosocket Jack Plate gloss Nickel [9499]
Many Telecaster players might feel it difficult to plug and unplug the cable once the jack cap gets loos, right?
For you, I recommend this!
The jack plate can be fixed to the body with screws, and it’s much more stable than the original one!
ALLPARTS / PC-6643-028 Conversion Ring Cream
If you’re a guitarist who plays a guitar with humbucker pickups, at some point in time, you must’ve been driven by the physically impossible desire, "I wanna put a single coil on a guitar together with a humbucker!" To you, I recommend this escutcheon, which will alleviate your concerns of making such an absurd request!
The simple appearance on its own allows you to understand how it works!
With this, you don’t need to worry about or pay to fill the pickup cavity and have the guitars re-carved for a single coil!
Dynaguide / Dynaguide Black String Guide
There are many kinds of string guides on the market, and most of us try different materials or circle-shaped guides, which look like they’ll cause less resistance. The Dynaguide is based on the wild idea of a guide that moves along with the strings.
Though there might be a preference in terms of appearance, my impression after using it is that I feel it keeps the strings from going out of tune better than other string guides I’ve tried in the past. I would recommend this one to Stratocaster players and for those playing with guitars with a tremolo system.
How was it?
