Takayoshi Ohmura Electric Guitar String Comparison Review [3 Types of SIT STRINGS]

I'm Takayoshi Ohmura, a SIT artist.
This time, I got the first "CRT (CS946)" SIT coated strings (which everyone loves), so I did a brief review.
I usually use the "PN946" and the "S942", so I will also do a review of them.
The specifications have changed a little from the strings introduced before, so I hope this will be of a help.

-A brief introduction to SIT STRINGS-

If you go back to my previous blogs, you will find many comparison reviews for more than 40 types of electric guitar strings from more than 20 companies.
Among them, the brand that suits me best is SIT STRINGS.
When I say "suits me best", I mean that they stay in tune even during live performances and outdoor venues, not just that they feel good on my fingers and sound good.

I write reviews based on the feeling as an important element, not personal likes and dislikes, so that it will be easy for you to find strings you like, after comparing the strings you are interested in.
Please also check how different my impression and your impression on the current strings.
It will be fun if you have more opportunities to know how they feel with your fingers.

① SIT STRINGS / CS946 CR

Gauges:009, 011, 016, 026, 036, 046
Guitar:ESP SNAPPER Ohmura Custom、EDWARDS E-SN-185TO
Tension (out of 5): Soft ~ Normal ♥♥ or ♥♥♥
Thickness: They feel a little thinner than the standard.
Sound: Crisp and very clear sound close to S946.
Playing feeling: There is no feeling of unnatural tension, and the tension is strong when the pick touches the strings.
Touch: Slightly rough compared to PN946 and S946.
Recommended picks: Smooth picks that will not catch on the strings regardless of size.
Uniqueness LEVEL(out of 5): 4♥♥♥♥
Packaging: Vinyl sealed; 2 strings in 3 paper packaging
Others: This is the first set of coated strings from SIT STRINGS.
"Corrosion Resistant Technology (CRT processing)" is applied to the wound strings.
Excellent resistance to corrosion while maintaining stable tuning, a SIT characteristic.
* As with other models, packaged as 1st & 4th, 2nd & 5th, 3rd & 6th strings.

② SIT STRINGS / PN946

Gauges: 009, 011, 016, 026, 036, 046
Guitar: ESP SNAPPER Ohmura Custom
Reason for use: I like the relatively calm tone of pure nickel and the three-dimensional feeling.
The tension is just right and it suits my fingers very well.
Tension (out of 5): Soft ~ Normal♥♥ or ♥♥♥
Thickness: THE Standard
Sound: Powerful with no bad habits. Ideal for live performances and people who play powerful music.
Playing feeling: The tension is soft, but the picking feeling is solid.
Touch: slippery
Recommended picks: Smooth and pointed picks are recommended to create an attack feeling
Uniqueness LEVEL (out of 5)：3♥♥♥
Packaging: Vinyl sealed; 2 strings in 3 paper packages
Other: "STAY IN TUNE processing" is applied to enhance tuning stability. They’re made of pure nickel.

③ SIT STRINGS / S942

Gauges: 009, 011, 016, 024, 032, 042
Guitar: ESP SNAPPER Fujioka Custom
Reason for use: The gauges (009-042) are perfect for the Fujioka.
With thinner gauges, the tension is looser, and pitch may be unstable.
So I chose this set, which has a stronger tension than the PN946.
Tension(out of 5): Tight ♥♥♥ or ♥♥♥♥
Thickness: Slightly thick
Sound: calm considering the tension, and also glittering.
Feeling: The sound is clear and it easy to create an attack. For veterans.
Touch: slippery
Recommended picks: Slightly larger picks such as a teardrop type
Uniqueness LEVEL(out of 5): 3♥♥♥
Packaging: Vinyl sealed; 2 strings in 3 paper packaging
Other: Nickel-plated wound strings.
