Today, I would like to introduce the Xotic BB Preamp.

An effector that was released a long time ago, so I'm sure there are many people know it already, but since you can buy new ones at Sound House at a low price, or you can buy used ones at other musical instrument stores at a relatively low price, it is recommend for advanced players as well, not only beginners to intermediate players.
In addition, the effector has a wide range of distortion and is equipped with treble and bass controls. It is easy to create sounds by setting them according to the conditions of the amplifier in the studio.

How was that?
Don't you think you could use it if you had one? Personally, I think it’s perfect for rock rhythm guitar and riffing for the following reasons.

1. There is a unique feeling of compression.
It has a crisp image that can handle extreme parts.

2. When I play chords, the sound comes out in chunks.
No hesitation with the settings.

3. For the above reasons, rhythm becomes clear.

When I play lead, I get the impression that it is a little stiff, but if you use it with a lot of distortion or as a booster, you may not care much.
Andy Timmons also uses the BB Preamp and even has a signature model.
By the way, the BB Preamp is a distortion effector, but as the name implies, you can use it as a Preamp.

Actually, I also used it with it set to almost clean just before the distortion kicks in and kept on all the time. The basic clean sound is created with the BB Preamp and combined with other distortion effects.
It can be used widely, so if you have one, you’ll be able to use it for a long time. Please try it out by all means.
