audio-technica / AT-HA2 Headphone Amplifier

Audio-Technica is a globally popular audio equipment manufacturer that offers this headphone amplifier at an incredibly affordable price of around ¥5,000 (approx. $30–40 USD).
In this price range, it’s considered one of the highest-quality models available.
It features a durable metal chassis and an ultra-compact body (70mm × 30mm × 92mm).
Despite its small size, it supports a wide range of input/output connections, allowing for flexible setups with various audio devices.
With a maximum output of 300mW + 300mW, it provides more than enough power for most home environments.
(It might even bother your neighbors at full volume!)
Even if your AV equipment doesn’t have a headphone jack, this amp allows two headphones to monitor via line output.
That means you can enjoy headphone monitoring with devices like DVD players, VCRs, CD/MD players, and more.

You can also use two headphones at the same time, making it perfect for listening with someone else.

FiiO / K3 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier

This compact headphone amp is powered via USB bus, making it perfect for portability.
It supports decoding up to PCM 384kHz/32-bit and native DSD256.
Its simple design allows you to just connect it to a PC via USB cable. It’s great for those who aren’t confident with tech.

iFi Audio / ZEN DAC

This is a uniquely shaped, compact desktop DAC (also functions as a USB preamp and headphone amp).
It supports PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz, DXD, DSD256, and MQA rendering.

With iFi Audio's original "TrueBass" feature, you can boost only the low frequencies without affecting the mids by flipping a switch.

KORG / DS-DAC-10R USB-DAC

(*Note: On macOS, DSD playback is supported only up to 5.6 MHz.)
