John Williams is an American composer, arranger, and conductor. He studied composition at the University of California, and piano at The Juilliard School. He was also in charge of arrangement and composition for the military band when he was drafted by the United States Air Force. He began providing music for films starting with Lost in Space, and he even won an Academy Award for Best Original Score for "Jaws". He became a forerunner of film music, both in name and in reality. He was also the conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra, and as an honorary conductor, he is still on the stage.
