It has four channels: clean, crunch, OD1, and OD2. Each channel has three sound modes. It produces 12 diverse all-valve sounds, from crystal clear clean to bluesy crunch, the sounds of classic instruments like the 1959 and JCM800, to intense distortion.

■Four channels

・Clean: The gain stage is placed after the tone control, covering everything from crystal clear classic clean to bluesy crunch. Its simple yet pure sound is appealing.

Crunch: Green mode delivers the sound of a 1959 Plexi, Orange mode the sound of a 2203, and Red mode the sound of a fully-powered JCM800.
-OD1: Ultra-high gain sound that rivals or even surpasses the distortion of the DSL100. This channel is a favorite among HR/HM players.
-OD2: Adds even more gain to OD1 and reconfigures the tone network to enhance mid-range control, which has a significant impact on the guitar sound.
-Equipped with a Dual Master Volume function, which can be used as a solo boost when assigned to a footswitch using the Switch Store function. The Resonance and Presence controls adjust the power amp's performance to match the speaker's desired sound. The power amp is based on the legendary roaring Marshall sound found in the 1959 and 2203, and has been tuned to match the diverse tones of the JVM.

Switching between each channel on the panel is smooth and silent. The 12 modes are clearly indicated, with controls for Reverb (on/off), FX Loop (on/off), and Master. You can instantly check the volume (1/2). Even when you switch modes, the JVM remembers the previous settings for the new mode, and these settings are not erased even when the power is turned off. New footswitch technology enhances the functionality of the JVM. It also enables MIDI control, further expanding the possibilities of the JVM.
■The XLR output of the JVM remains fully operational even when in standby mode. This is one of the JVM's major features, as it allows you to output a line out without connecting to a speaker cabinet, making silent recording at home possible.
