SSL2 MKII is a USB bus-powered USB audio interface with 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs (stereo). Equipped with two mic preamps and two headphone outputs (common volume). We provide high quality recording for various purposes such as DTM, distribution, and mobile recording.

In 2020, SolidStateLogic's first USB audio interface SSL2 was released. Many features such as a mic preamp with performance that exceeds its class and a 4K switch with an innovative analog enhancement circuit have been well received and has created many SSL2 users around the world.

Uses 32-bit 192KHz AD/DA converter. Both the analog and digital circuits have been brushed up and the dynamic range has been significantly improved.
The biggest upgrade of SSL2MKⅡ/SSL2+MKⅡ is the change of AD/DA converter. The previous generation model used a 24bit192KHz converter, but the MKII uses a 32bit192KHz converter. By brushing up the analog and digital circuits, we have achieved a significant improvement in the dynamic range of both input and output. Provides clearer sound quality with less noise.

Continuing from the previous generation model SSL2, it is equipped with an SSL mic preamp with a clean and vast gain range and a 4K switch.
The previous generation SSL2 was most praised for its USB bus-powered performance that surpassed its class, achieving the sound image of the SuperAnalogue mic preamp installed in SSL's large recording consoles, and for its clean, high resolution, and vast gain range.
This best-in-class mic pre has been designed with attention to detail to capture every nuance of every performance, with a gain range that allows you to handle any microphone with plenty of headroom.
The SSL development team did not design the mic preamp section of many USB audio interfaces using the general IC circuit.
We took a different approach to the design by combining specially selected discrete low-noise transistors and ICs in a two-stage circuit. This provides the best noise performance and widest gain range.

Furthermore, it was an analog enhancement circuit ""4K switch"" that added high-frequency EQ boost/harmonics and applied analog coloring to the input source, changing the sound image to the SSL4000E series consoles that were all the rage in the 1980s and are still used in studios.
This 4K switch makes the sound source ""thick"" and ""lively"" and is effective for sound sources such as vocals and guitars.
SSL2MKⅡ/SSL2+MKⅡ continues to be equipped with this mic pre and 4K switch.


Each CH is equipped with a high pass filter. The functionality has also been updated, including a Hi-Z input on the front, an LED switch, a headphone output on the front, and two headphone outputs (the volume is the same).
