An interface unit that converts audio in both USB, MADI, and Dante formats bidirectionally. Comes with a reliable 3-year warranty from Sound House!
■DANTE / MADI / USB Converter
The UMD192 is an interface unit that converts audio in USB, MADI, and Dante formats bidirectionally. It can convert between three 64-channel MADI and Dante formats, and can also be used as a 192-channel audio I/O device via USB 3.0. (Standard support for MAC OS; Windows requires an SSL driver.)
It allows selection of output combinations such as bidirectional output from USB to Dante and MADI, bidirectional output from MADI to Dante and USB, and bidirectional output from USB to MADI and Dante. All operations can be performed from the front panel. The UMD192 supports sampling rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz, handling 192 channels in all formats at 48kHz/96kHz, and supporting low latency of 0.25msec for Dante. (At 192kHz, USB, Dante 128ch, MADI 96ch)
Furthermore, Dante supports DDM and can support AES67/ST2110. Operates in sync with Dante or MADI. (SRC not included)
The six MADI BNC connections can be configured as three redundant systems, and the power supply can be directly input with AC or dual-mode PoE, making it ideal for everything from portable use to critical applications such as live performances and broadcasts.
The Perfect Bridge Between USB, MADI and Dante
Designed for high functionality and versatility, the UMD192 converts bidirectionally between two of the following formats: USB, MADI, and Dante. In addition, it simultaneously outputs a ""Split Out"" to the remaining channel. This allows for uses such as simultaneously inputting multiple MADI devices into Dante while recording multi-channel audio to a DAW via USB, or sending multi-track outputs from a DAW to both MADI and Dante simultaneously.
As a network device, the UMD192 supports Dante/AES67 and can also support ST2110 via DDM. Dante is responsive to a minimum latency of 0.25 msec and operates at sampling rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz, synchronized with MADI or Dante. The 6 MADI input/output ports can be configured as 3 redundant systems, supporting critical operating environments such as live broadcasts.
Intuitive Front Panel Control
The UMD192's front panel features a clear and easy-to-read design, allowing you to see the signal flow, sampling rate, power, and network status at a glance. All operations can be performed from the front panel. The panel is locked by default to prevent accidental operation and must be unlocked before use.
• Lockout - Unlock by pressing and holding the button. Press and hold the button until the red symbol in the center of the center circle disappears.
• Mode - Switch modes by pressing the center circle switch.
• Clock Source - Switch between Dante and MADI as the synchronization source.
• MADI Redundancy - Pressing this button toggles redundancy mode on/off. The mode is switched simultaneously for all MADI ports.
Flexible Power & Redundancy
The UMD192 offers three power options: AC power, PoE, and USB-C. Redundancy can be configured in any combination. It offers high reliability and convenience, from portable environments to live broadcast settings.
