●Easy to use as an effects pedal
No matter how amazing an overdrive pedal's characteristics, if it requires power from a dedicated outlet and is the same size as an amp head, it will only appeal to a select few players.
The Strawberry Red Over Drive's ultra-compact housing, crafted from One Control's unique machined aluminum, allows it to be placed in a minimal space on your pedalboard without taking up any extra space.
Furthermore, despite its minimal size, it can also be battery-powered, allowing you to enjoy the Strawberry Red Over Drive's sound anywhere.

In addition, when powered by an adapter, it supports voltages from 9V to 18V. Operating at higher voltages allows for an even wider dynamic range and more three-dimensional tone.

● Driving a Tube Amplifier
The Strawberry Red Over Drive possesses tonal characteristics common to high-quality amplifiers. Therefore, using the Strawberry Red Over Drive with a tube amplifier further emphasizes the amplifier's characteristics and delivers exquisite drive.

The Strawberry Red Over Drive's treble range is a perfect match for British-style amplifiers, further expanding the possibilities of the amplifier's EQ section. It also brings the sound forward smoothly and enhances tonal resolution. Especially with stack amplifiers, increasing the amplifier's gain can tend to make the sound muffled. However, by pushing the gain with the Strawberry Red Over Drive and not increasing the amplifier's gain too much, you can achieve a high-resolution tone even with the same gain. The Low Cut control also works effectively, allowing you to adjust the tonal balance.

With American-style amplifiers, you can increase the gain and push the amplifier without losing the amplifier's inherent brightness. While these amplifiers sometimes tend to have a strong treble, the Strawberry Red Over Drive's treble control allows you to properly balance the tone. The Strawberry Red Over Drive easily achieves the powerful, cohesive distortion sound that's difficult to achieve with classic American-style amplifiers.
