確かに中間の音

DT 770 pro （密閉型）と DT 990 pro （開放型）の両方を愛用してきました。
DT 880 pro は半開放だけあって、確かに中間の音ではあります。
しかしそれだけではなく、箱から出してエージングもしてないのにもう素晴らしいバランスで鳴ってます。
770と比較するとパンチは減って音がソフトになっており、990と比較すると低音と高音が控え目です。
その特徴のおかげで880は三兄弟の中で1番聴き疲れしません。
この聴き疲れの無さは断トツで、何時間でも聴いていられます。
ピアノや生楽器のナチュラルさも断トツです。
880だけ高級なリスニング用のテイストを感じます。
それでいて解像度も高く、あくまでモニターヘッドフォンである印象はキープしており、とんでもない逸品だと感じています。
私の場合の使い分け：
770/80Ω　歌入れやボイストレーニングなどの自分の声を確認したい時。
770/250Ω　このシリーズの平均の音で、他の方が言っておられるように　”『製品化されて視聴者が聴く再生音の平均点で音を確認する』ためのものである。”　まさにその通りといったイメージです。
880/250Ω　長時間聴き疲れせずナチュラルなサウンドでリラックスして色々と聴きたい時。
990/250Ω　唯一無二の低音の魅力と音の指向性や距離感を楽しみたい時（ゲームや映画鑑賞時など）。
どれもそれぞれ魅力があり、海外で伝説級の超ロングセラーなのが納得できます。
