■The new HS Series features newly developed transducers with an advanced magnetic circuit design that controls and equalizes the flow of magnetic field lines. By reselecting and optimizing acoustic components, we have achieved a dramatic improvement in playback capabilities.
The HS5, HS7, and HS8 models feature a newly developed, high-performance 1-inch dome tweeter and a thick waveguide designed to minimize resonance. This combination extends the high-frequency reproducibility up to 30kHz, enabling accurate and smooth high-frequency reproduction. In addition, the newly developed dedicated woofer, featuring a large magnet, boasts excellent response and high input resistance, delivering low frequencies with minimal distortion and a controlled feel at any volume. Furthermore, acoustic components such as the woofer ring and basket have been reselected and optimally designed to achieve well-defined low frequencies.
■The power amplifier section employs a bi-amp system, amplifying both the high and low frequency bands with dedicated power amplifiers. High-performance amplifier units optimized for each model consistently deliver high-quality, consistent sound with minimal tonal variations.
■The HS Series enclosures are designed to thoroughly eliminate unnecessary resonance and enhance the accuracy of original sound reproduction. In addition to using MDF, which has high rigidity and consistent acoustic properties, the joints are made using three-sided fastening, a technique long used in wooden construction for its excellent strength. By seamlessly combining the uneven surfaces of the wood joints, the structure achieves strength unmatched by simple surface joints and reduces noise caused by resonance. ■The rear panel is equipped with ROOM CONTROL, which corrects the emphasis on low frequencies when speakers are placed near a wall, enabling accurate monitoring. It also features HIGH TRIM, allowing for precise balance adjustment to suit the room and application. The input terminals include both XLR and TRS phone jacks, allowing for flexible use in a variety of applications, such as output from a mixer, keyboard, or audio interface.
