■The JVM features an ECC83 preamp and an EL34 power amp. This combination, which has been used since the JVM's release in 1959, delivers the traditional Marshall sound that has continued through the JCM2000. However, the JVM's sound goes beyond that. Fulfilling its mission of ""creating the most powerful distortion in the history of Marshall full-valve models,"" the OD channel allows you to create innovative sounds never before seen in Marshalls.
■The JVM2 is equipped with two channels: CLEAN/CRUNCH and OVERDRIVE. Each channel has three modes: Green, Orange, and Red, increasing in gain from lowest to highest. The JVM2 offers six sound variations with a 2x3 configuration. These range from the ultimate crystal-clean clean sound (Clean Channel/Green Mode) to the astonishing distortion sound (OD/Red).
■The JVM features a digital reverb that can be set independently for each channel, creating a natural and rich reverb sound. The reverb can be turned on/off via the front panel or the included footswitch.
■Equipped with two different types of Celestion speakers, Heritage provides punch and Vintage provides warmth, creating a balanced, loud sound that's hard to believe is a combo.
■When recording using the emulated line out, you can silently record without connecting a speaker cabinet by turning off the standby switch. (Note: Using the standby switch on without a speaker connected will damage the amp.)
