■USB Audio
Handling audio data is flexible and easy. Simply connect the ZED to your PC via USB, select USB routing on the mixer, and select the device on your computer. You can also easily utilize effect plug-ins from your DAW.

■MusiQ
The ZED-420 features a 4-band EQ. It uses MusiQ, which provides an optimized slope (Q) for equalization.

■ Construction
Most mixers have a single internal circuit board, with knobs and switches mounted on the board. In the ZED Series, each channel has a vertical circuit board on the front panel. Each knob is secured with a metal nut. This construction provides a stronger build and ensures years of use.

■ DuoPre
The ZED Series uses the DuoPre preamp. Its two-stage design provides carefully controlled gain at each stage. The gain boost for the signal from the XLR input jack is a wide 69dB, yet it is evenly distributed across the control range, improving signal level control. Unwanted noise is minimized. Line-level signals are connected from the line input jack to the second stage of the preamp. This has the advantage of reducing noise when matching high impedances at the line input.
