5 Highly Addictive Psychedelic Trance Songs

Do you know about the music genre called "psychedelic trance"? Tracing its origins, trance music was born in Germany in the late 1980s. Then in the 1990’s, people from the hippie sanctuary located on the Goa beaches added their touch to trance music and that subgenre became known as the Goa trance. There are many various subgenres within psychedelic trance, and it’s kind of difficult to explain with words alone, so instead let's listen and learn what it’s like!

Astrix / I scream

This is a song by Israeli psychedelic trance artist Astrix. The combination of bass and melody line is excellent, and the more you listen, the more you will be drawn into the world of the song. Personally, I like the development around 3:18, and I have listened to it over and over again.

Silent Hill / Power System

I like the addictive bass line of this song. The dark atmosphere of the whole song is great, too. You must especially listen to where the guitar melody comes in at 3:23! By the way, the Silent Hill CD was the first that I bought when I was addicted to psychedelic trance as a student.

Infected Mushroom / Vicious Delicious

The entertaining development and the vision of the song are outstanding. Of course, I want you to listen thoroughly from the beginning, but from 4:32, I just want you to close your eyes and listen. This addictive song has harsh tones that can be heard in the neat sound of the composition. Listen to it with speakers in a place where you can play it loud, and if you can’t, listen with headphones. Anyway, please enjoy it at full blast.

Animalis / Radio Kids

Here’s a psytrance song that is different from the other songs that I’ve introduced so far. The rhythm and the speed of the bass have a distinct character, the not overly big but subtely detailed development is just excellent. Personally, I get excited when I listen to this when I’m driving. I can keep head banging all day long after I hear this at an outdoor music festival.

Phanatic / Techno Park
