Hello. This is sukuta takafumi (@sukutakafumi).

Today, I would like to introduce the Limetone Audio's BC CUBE.
The BC CUBE is a compact battery checker. Some people may not need a battery checker because they only use power adapters.
However, batteries are interesting. Now, I would like to talk a little about batteries.
It is generally said that batteries sound better than power adapters for compact effectors. It's hard to say exactly how it's different, but it is certainly different.
The power is supplied more stable when using the adapter, making the sound flat and calm.
On the other hand, when using batteries, highs become wilder than when using the adapter, and it feels like the sound is alive.
Also, the sound differs depending on the battery manufacturer, and the sound changes considerably depending on whether the battery is a manganese battery or an alkaline battery.
Eric Johnson said in an interview that he is particular about the batteries he uses and he can distinguish the sound between the manufacturers.
According to Johnson, "the feeling of top frequency is different".
Eric Johnson uses DURACELL alkaline batteries.
By the way, I think the difference between alkaline batteries and manganese batteries is clear and easy to distinguish.
When using alkaline batteries, the range is wide and the sound is hi-fi.
When using manganese batteries, the sound is rounded, the range is not as wide as alkaline batteries, and it gives more mid-range.
In my case, I definitely use alkaline batteries when I play a tension-chord rhythm or a riff.
On the other hand, if I play a lead with a lot of distortion, a manganese battery may be better.
I personally use alkaline batteries for effectors.
Batteries can also be purchased at a special price at Sound House, so I think it is interesting to buy various types!
I always use Duracell, so I'm thinking of buying different ones next time lol.
I recommend using batteries, but ...
there are the following two concerns when using batteries in recording studios.
1. How much is the remaining capacity of the 9V battery?
2. Is the voltage sufficient?
I think that there are many people who are concerned about the above and use power adapters for these reasons.
If you don't check the battery, you should be concerned when you go into the studio, a live performance, or even a session.
And in these cases, you can easily check the battery level with this BC CUBE!
How about that!

It looks cute and is compact!
Very few items met these two requirements.
I bought it as soon as I discovered it.
By the way, there are two light colors, Green and Blue.
The light is bright, and very easy to see.
(If you leave the battery connected, the battery will run out (lol))
You can buy it for about 1,000 yen, so I recommend you to get one. Please try it out
I am looking for manufacturers and individual builders who can loan me equipment for review videos and articles. Please feel free to contact me regarding reviews and articles.
