Hello,
I’m Mieno, the bassist of the Hammond organ instrumental band "BANANA NEEDLE ".
Recently, I bought a Playtech mini keyboard stand for the band, and I must say, it’s even more amazing and convenient than I imagined. I’d like to share it with you!
Playtech / KST01 Mini Keyboard Stand
The appearance is similar to a music stand, but the edge, where sheet music rests, is narrower compared to a typical music stand.
One of the issues I had before using this stand was that, in the past, I used to borrow a music stand as a substitute and lay it flat. However, because the stand's surface had some depth, it raised the instrument higher than the output jack, making it difficult to plug and unplug cables.
On the other hand the KST01 has no raised edge, making it completely stress-free and solving the problem.

The second issue I had was that I often place two synthesizers on top of my Hammond organ, but with "X-frame" stands, the height can vary slightly depending on the manufacturer. This height difference causes the instruments to become unstable and wobble. The KST01, however, allows for flexible height adjustments, so I can align everything perfectly and securely. It’s stress-free, and this solved my problem as well.

The third issue I had was that with the "X-frame" stand, the cables would often get tangled around the feet on the ground when I tried to put it away, which was a bit stressful.
The KST01, however, has smooth, streamlined legs, so I can store the stand away before even wrapping up the cables, making it completely stress-free. It’s tidy and solves the problem.

It really turned out to be a perfect fit for my band.
You can even hook the keyboard onto the edge and set it at a slight angle, which is really convenient.
Recently, it’s become quite popular to face the audience and play while showing off the keyboard.
If you tilt it quite a bit, it might be a good idea to secure the back with tape, like duct tape, for extra stability and peace of mind.
By the way, the recommended weight limit for items placed on the stand is up to 20 kg, so if you're using a mini keyboard or similar equipment, I highly recommend giving it a try!
Recently, I've also seen drummers purchasing it to use as a place to store sticks and other small accessories! It seems like musicians from various instruments will find it really useful.
By the way, I use it to raise and place my effects pedals at hand height so I can adjust the knobs while performing.
As I’m at an age where bending down is hard on my back, it's incredibly convenient to be able to adjust things like the delay settings and filter effects without having to squat down.
The KST01 is a fantastic stand that would be useful to have one in every household!
By the way, while I was searching for the KST01, I came across this stand.
Playtech / KST80 Keyboard Stand
This stand is commonly known as the "four-legged" type. However, the typical "four-legged" stands are usually quite large even when folded, which makes them less portable, and I haven't been carrying them around much for that reason.
However, this stand can fold up really small, which is great!
It weighs about 6.4kg, which is just the right weight!
I prefer the heavier type because it offers more stability, so I’m definitely considering it for my next equipment upgrade.
Well, it's not actually for me, though!
By the way, it's not for me, but here’s a part of my PLAYTECH wish list:
A huge gong!!
I’ve always dreamed of having a gong as part of the band’s equipment, but I’m wondering if it will fit in a regular car…
Playtech / PTSH-200 Sousaphone
Wow, they even sell sousaphones at Playtech!
That's pretty impressive!
Playtech / PTHT-100GR Hybrid Tuba Green
The green tuba looks awesome!!
I believe the sounds of the sousaphone and tuba are the foundation for many synth bass sounds, so I’d love to have one at home someday.
With all that said, the product I most want right now from Sound House's brand is this one:
Classic Pro / CPH3000 IVORY Headphones
Wow, isn't it just super cute??
I haven't been listening to music with wired headphones lately, so I’m thinking of just buying them…
By the way, it looks like the red one has a matching red cable too!
Haha, we got a bit off track there!
Let’s keep eliminating environmental stress so we can enjoy making music to the fullest!
See you next time!
