■The Ultimate Studio Control Center
Central Station is the ultimate studio monitoring interface for your digital studio. The Central Station features three stereo analog inputs for switching between input sources such as a DAW, mixer, CD/DAT/tape player, and keyboard/sampler. Two stereo analog inputs are balanced TRS connectors, while the third stereo input is an RCA input with a trim control for level matching. The Central Station also features two digital inputs via S/PDIF or TOSLINK, with up to 24-bit/192kHz D/A conversion. This allows you to monitor your DAW and CD/DAT outputs through the same pro-quality converter, providing highly accurate A/B comparison and the highest quality monitoring environment. The built-in D/A converter boasts exceptional analog circuitry and a dynamic range exceeding 117dB. The Central Station also features three sets of monitor outputs, each with a trim control. The monitoring section also features mute, dim (volume down), and mono switches, and a cue output for feeding a headphone amplifier or a separate stereo main line-level output. ■Passive Signal Path
The Central Station delivers the ultimate sonic performance with its passive signal path. The Central Station's main audio path does not contain any amplifier stages, including op amps or active ICs, which add noise, coloration, or distortion to the sound. The distortion caused by op amps and ICs can be harsh on the ears.

The Central Station's signal routing uses 34 shielded relays instead of active ICs, ensuring the shortest possible signal path. The relays provide an extremely transparent signal path, maximizing dynamic range, frequency response, and headroom while minimizing noise and tonal artifacts. The Central Station utilizes premium passive components, including military-grade metal-film resistors with 1% tolerance, multi-element potentiometers, and durable connectors, to deliver the best sonic performance.

■Metering
The Central Station features a fast-responding 30-segment peak-hold LED for accurate metering. The Central Station's front panel also features dBu and dBfs scales, a peak hold/clear switch, and a meter position adjustment switch for detailed metering.

■Talkback
The Central Station has a built-in talkback microphone, allowing communication between artists and engineers via the cue output. The Central Station's rear panel also features a microphone XLR input, allowing for the use of an external microphone. When talkback is in use, the cue mix volume is automatically lowered for easier communication.

■CSR-1 CENTRAL STATION REMOTE Included
Connect the Central Station Remote Control (CSR-1) to the DB15 connector on the Central Station's rear panel to control functions such as volume, talkback, mute, input source switching, and speaker switching. Using the CSR-1, you can freely control the Central Station while it's installed in a rack.
