■Newly Developed 50mm Bio-Dynamic Driver
The Bio-Dynamic driver, highly acclaimed for its high resolution and exceptionally smooth sound quality, has undergone significant evolution. A newly developed edge enhances amplitude stability, enabling a tight, focused bass response without excessive bloat. Furthermore, by suppressing unwanted resonance, it eliminates muddiness caused by extraneous noise, achieving a natural and smooth midrange. ■Lightweight magnesium alloy mechanical components
Mechanical components such as the housing base plate and hangers utilise magnesium alloy, achieving a 20% weight reduction compared to aluminium. Furthermore, rubber gaskets are employed in the rotating mechanism to minimise excess vibration. This design philosophy, meticulously considering every component detail, has enhanced the overall user experience.

■Hard Maple Housing with Japanese Traditional Lacquer Finish
The solid hard maple housing is finished using a unique lacquer craft developed by Sakamoto Otsuzo Shoten Co., Ltd. (founded in 1900, Meiji 33), which brings Japanese traditional craftsmanship to industrial products. The “foil ground pattern”—a technique where silver foil, smoked with sulphur, is applied in torn pieces like collage over a base layer of black lacquer—expresses a profound sense of depth and luxurious elegance. The hard, high-density hard maple, combined with the lacquer finish's rigid coating, avoids unnecessary colouration of the sound. This allows you to enjoy a solid, deep bass range and clear, expansive treble. The open-back TH919 employs aluminium with a matt anodised finish featuring geometric kumiko lattice motifs around the housing aperture. Its precision laser-cut, dual-layer mesh structure meticulously adjusts aperture ratio and internal components to reproduce the open-back design's signature high resolution and fatigue-resistant, natural soundstage.

■Newly shaped ear pads utilising innovative materials
The newly shaped ear pads feature an angled surface against the face for optimised comfort. The internal memory foam employs a dual-layer structure: a softer type on the outer layer conforms to facial contours, while a high-resilience type is positioned internally. Combined with silk protein synthetic leather offering three times the durability of previous models, this ensures comfortable wear even during extended listening sessions.

■ Supple-fit headpad and headband
The headpad and headband utilise natural sheepskin, offering a supple, excellent fit. Enjoy how its texture evolves with use.

■Includes proprietary high-purity OFC unbalanced 2-pole 3.5mm Y-cable
Both the internal wiring and the included unbalanced cable utilise 7N (99.99999%) grade high-purity OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) cable, minimising impurities to maximise transmission capability. Furthermore, a 4.4 mm balanced cable is scheduled for release (ET-TH4.4BL2Y).
