■Semi-open housing carved from solid black walnut
・The solid black walnut housing allows you to enjoy the natural texture with beautiful wood grain, allowing you to enjoy a natural sound that is comfortable to listen to, from the rich and solid depth of the bass range to the clear and relaxed treble range.

■RP driver evolved to the 4th generation
・RP Technology's fully-driven flat diaphragm driver, which has been improved with its own technology for 50 years, is the 4th generation, and in order to expand and uniform the vibration area of the flat diaphragm, the magnets that sandwich the diaphragm have been increased and the pattern shape of the printed coil has been newly designed. In addition, the components of the magnetic circuit have been completely redesigned to optimize the magnetic flux distribution, suppressing unnecessary resonance of the diaphragm and achieving a sharp response in the rise and fall of the sound. The 4th generation driver, developed by fully introducing various technologies cultivated so far, achieves improved sensitivity, smooth frequency characteristics that are easy to monitor, and excellent transient characteristics at the same time. By enabling accurate and delicate reproduction from the deep bass range to the treble range, the accurate sense of positioning and the ability to reproduce the sound field have been further improved than before. As in the past, we provide reliable quality through our own manufacturing process in our own factory.

■Y cable with independent left and right connections is used, making it easy to re-cable.

・Both the left and right housings are equipped with connectors, and a newly developed Y cable is used for connection. The 2-pole 3.5 mm connector improves compatibility with re-cabling and increases versatility. The cable uses high-quality OFC conductors. A separately sold balanced cable is available in φ4.4: ET-RP4.4BL2Y.

■Comfortable ear pads
・The ear pads are low-resilience around-ear type for a comfortable fit, allowing you to use them comfortably even when listening for long periods of time. You can also attach optional Toray Ultrasuede? ear pads (EX-EP-RP-SUEDE). They are soft to the touch and do not easily get stuffy, and provide smooth, high-quality sound from deep bass to treble.
