Genelec 8020D is an extremely ambitious product despite its compact size. The 8020D, introduced in 2017, has a 4 dB increase in SPL and lower power consumption than its predecessor. Designed to accommodate as many different listening environments as possible, the 8020D shines when space is at a premium, leveraging the innovations of the 8000 series for an unparalleled near-field experience.
MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) provides accurate sound reproduction without coloration, and DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) provides accurate on-axis/off-axis frequency reproduction. When finished, the Genelec ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) circuit automatically detects system outages and switches to an environmentally friendly, power-saving standby mode. From post-production studios and OB vans to DAW-based studios, the 8020D is the perfect choice for near-field solutions.
