PHONON / SMB-02G are monitor headphones that inherit and evolve the sound of SMB-02. You can enjoy natural ultra-low frequencies and an acoustic space created by PHONON's unique technology. The free-edge structure allows the diaphragm to operate with good response and little energy loss, achieving a frequency response that fully covers the high-resolution band and a wide dynamic range.

■Developed as a direct successor to PHONON's long-selling headphones SMB-02, which has fans all over the world, the SMB-02G was created by mastering engineer and PHONON representative Isao Kumano with studio professionals in mind.
■The diaphragm uses Nomex, a material used in high-end speakers, and reproduces upgraded sound quality while inheriting the sound characteristics of SMB-02.
■Enjoy natural ultra-low frequencies and an acoustic space created by PHONON's unique technology. The free-edge structure allows the diaphragm to operate with good response and little energy loss, achieving a frequency response that fully covers the high-resolution band and a wide dynamic range. The tuning technology that PHONON has cultivated over the years enables playback sound that is closer to the real sound, and by repeatedly playing various reference discs, we achieve the best acoustic balance regardless of genre.
■In the SMB-02, the cable that was directly attached is now removable, and an optional semi-open plate is also available that allows you to enjoy sealed dynamic / semi-open with one unit.
