Dekoni COBALT is a closed-back headphone created in collaboration between Dekoni and HIFIMAN.

COBALT, designed by Dekoni engineers, is equipped with a nano-carbon coated diaphragm driver and was created with a thorough focus on acoustic space, comfort, and lightness. Natural, high-resolution drivers and high-quality ear pads deliver the best possible sound performance.
The ear pads chosen for COBALT are Dekoni genuine mesh sheepskin (FNSK = Fenestrated Sheep Skin). This pad is angled to allow sound pressure to escape and reduce headphone brightness. Additionally, the earholes are wide enough to keep your ears comfortably away from the driver and prevent your ears from touching the edges of the ear pads. The extra ear space further enhances the headphones' acoustics, delivering a high-resolution stereo image that pushes the boundaries of soundstaging in closed-back designs. The combination of the dark blue casing and genuine leather gives it a very luxurious feel, and the more you use it, the more tasteful the headphones will become.


■COBALT vs DEKONI Blue
The bright sounding COBALT is designed to contrast with the warm bass DEKONI Blue. In contrast to DEKONI Blue's planar drivers, COBALT with dynamic drivers is a brighter headphone with a bass roll-off starting at 40 Hertz. The mid-low range expresses a tight bass line without swollen bass. Vocals sit a few dB above the bass, appearing more front and center, and the treble becomes crisper and more reverberant. Stereo imaging is amazing due to the wide acoustic space provided by the ear pads. On certain tracks, you can hear the perfect contrast between the left and right channels. Instruments are separated with no crosstalk.

■First-time limited benefit
To commemorate the release of COBALT, the first 1,000 units produced will include an additional pair of Dekoni Elite velor pads. Elite Velor, a more porous material, enhances the COBALT's treble definition and provides punchy upper bass. You can feel a slightly wider acoustic space than mesh sheepskin ear pads.
