The Excel Gramercy XT is an electric acoustic guitar with a distinctive design inspired by the skyscrapers of New York and a neck that is easy to grip. The Fishman INK-4 preamp tuner brings out tones that are faithful to the original sound. The top color is vintage sunburst.

The Excel Gramercy XT is a 16-inch wide, 4.7-inch thick cutaway grand auditorium style flat top electric acoustic guitar equipped with a piezo pickup and Fishman's INK-4 onboard preamp on the body side. It is decorated with 3-ply headstock binding, 1-ply neck binding, 5-ply body binding, and a center strip on the back of the body. It gives a chic impression with a rosette combined with abalone, a mother-of-pearl D'Angelico logo on the head, and a head inlay with EXCEL SERIES written on it, following the vintage New Yorker. The body has a solid Sitka spruce top, high-quality solid mahogany sides and back, and a satin-finished mahogany neck joined in a dovetail style. The fingerboard is made of pau ferro. It has an easy-to-play 25-inch scale, a standard C-shaped neck that is easy to grip, and medium jumbo frets. The bridge is made of pau ferro and the bridge pins are made of ebony, creating a stair-step bridge that subtly incorporates the D'Angelico style. The headstock design is a scroll style without pins, and in keeping with the tradition of D'Angelico, it is equipped with Grover Super Rotomatic tuners with imperial buttons. The truss rod cover is made of aluminum, and has a striking design inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City, where Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building) was popular in New York around 1930. The lineup includes three colors with different top colors: Vintage Sunburst, Vintage Natural, and Walnut Stain.
