■Main features A foot controller that can control almost all music-related hardware devices/software with one unit. Equipped with five foot switches, and up to two expression pedals can be connected. It can be connected to other devices not only via USB cable, MIDI cable, TRS cable, but also wirelessly via Bluetooth. It can handle not only MIDI commands but also HID commands equivalent to a computer keyboard. Using the foot switch terminal, you can also switch channels on guitar amplifiers that do not have MIDI functions. When using Bluetooth MIDI and HID, it is possible to wirelessly control smartphones, tablets, and software on computers (such as plug-ins and DAWs). HID commands are the same as connecting a computer keyboard. You can use the foot switch to pause a guitar lesson video on YouTube while simultaneously turning the pages of a music score app, so your hands are completely free. AIRSTEP is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery and does not require an external power source. The main unit is equipped with five foot switches, and by adding an AIRSTEP Lite, you can wirelessly expand it to five more foot switches. A dedicated app is available that can be downloaded for free, so you can easily set all the functions. It also has a wide variety of online presets that can be loaded to the main unit with one click. *Five presets can be stored in the main unit. [Comprehensive MIDI Function] AIRSTEP has very powerful MIDI control functions. You can control anything related to MIDI, whether it's hardware or software, via the 5-pin standard MIDI terminal, USB-C terminal, and Bluetooth MIDI interface. All input MIDI messages can be transferred to any MIDI output. For example, if you connect a normal MIDI controller to the 5-pin or USB MIDI input of AIRSTEP, you can transfer it to the Bluetooth output. In other words, AIRSTEP makes it possible to make conventional MIDI controllers wireless. [HID commands equivalent to computer keyboards] HID commands are messages sent from a computer keyboard. AIRSTEP can also be used as a "wireless keyboard at your feet." When watching YouTube lesson videos, looking at sheet music, copying songs, or recording with a DAW while playing the guitar, it is essential to use your hands, but with AIRSTEP your hands will be free. If you can control a camera switching app with your feet, streaming alone is no longer a dream. [As a conventional foot switch] AIRSTEP can also be used as a conventional foot switch to control amplifiers and pedal effects equipped with foot switch (TRS) input terminals. Equipped with two TRS output terminals, it can control up to four pieces of equipment with foot switch (TRS) input terminals. It can be used as a powerful foot switch that can switch amplifier channels, control pedal toggle functions, tap tempo, and even the sustain function of keyboard instruments. [Five foot switches and five wireless foot switches] The five foot switches equipped on the main unit can simultaneously send up to eight different messages to the designated output terminal (including Bluetooth). You can combine MIDI, HID, and conventional foot switches in any combination. There are also three types of trigger actions: "press," "release," and "press and hold" the pedal. It is possible to assign a different output message to each action. For example, you can set it so that pressing the foot switch briefly switches the delay type, and pressing and holding the same foot switch changes the preset. [About AIRSTEP Lite] AIRSTEP Lite is a light version that omits all physical control terminals and allows you to use only Bluetooth. You can connect to a smartphone, tablet, or computer via Bluetooth to control the software, but you cannot control anything that requires a physical connection to the hardware. AIRSTEP Lite can be used alone, and can also be used as a wireless expansion foot switch for AIRSTEP. By pairing AIRSTEP with AIRSTEP Lite, you can wirelessly control devices that are physically connected to AIRSTEP with AIRSTEP Lite. For example, you can even wirelessly switch channels on your amplifier. [AIRSTEP dedicated app] A free dedicated app is available for use with iOS/Android devices. All AIRSTEP parameters can be edited in the dedicated app via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying various statuses such as the function of each foot switch, the contents of each preset, and the battery status, this app also allows you to edit all parameters and save them as presets. The app comes with a huge number of online presets that control most hardware devices and software. You can send and save five frequently used presets from the app to the AIRSTEP main unit. [USB HOST function] In this mode, the USB interface of AIRSTEP functions as the same as a USB terminal equipped on a computer. Many hardware effects only have a USB terminal that can be controlled only by a computer. However, you can add a foot switch by using AIRSTEP. You can also connect a USB-connected MIDI controller to AIRSTEP. This allows you to convert MIDI messages from the controller to Bluetooth and make it wireless. [MIDI trigger function] All MIDI inputs of AIRSTEP, including the 5-pin MIDI terminal, USB, and Bluetooth, can receive up to eight specific MIDI messages. When these specific messages are received, a pre-set message is triggered and sent. For example, you can connect a general MIDI pedal to AIRSTEP and convert it into a wireless keyboard for your computer to send HID messages.
