AXR4 provides latency-free monitoring regardless of the DAW you use. The dspMixFx AXR application controls the built-in DSP mixer and DSP effects, allowing you to create a comprehensive recording environment by combining a professional-grade mixer with a DAW.

■28 x 24 Matrix Mixer
The custom-designed DSPX chip delivers powerful monitoring, including a 28 x 24 matrix mixer. The dspMixFx AXR's Matrix Mixer window allows you to freely configure routing from inputs to the mix bus, and from DAW or computer system audio to the mix bus in a vertical and horizontal grid. Five additional windows—Mixer, Matrix Mixer, Meter, Show/Hide Channels, and Settings—keep track of all input and output levels and routing. The AXR4 was born from a thorough pursuit of the ultimate audio interface for studios, producers, and professional musicians.

It offers the diverse connections and high-speed data throughput required for high-end setups. Four hybrid mic preamps, selectable for each channel, range from pure, clean input to rich, musical coloration with SILK.

8 TRS line inputs/outputs, 2 x 8-channel ADAT/S/PIDF (or 8-channel ADAT + 8-channel AES/EBU) for a total of 28 inputs and 24 outputs, word clock, MIDI input/output, and 2 independent headphone outputs.

And it far exceeds existing audio interfaces, allowing recording and playback up to 32-bit integer and 384 kHz.
