The 8M's newly designed 8 mic/guitar inputs feature a transparent, natural sound. Equipped with individually adjustable 48V phantom power and a -20dB pad, the preamp gain can be adjusted directly with the knobs on the front panel, or controlled via the web application on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. ■Audio Interface

Equipped with a total of 24 inputs and 26 outputs, including eight XLR/TRS combo jacks, eight line outputs, two ADAT optical inputs and outputs, RCA (S/PDIF with SRC) digital inputs and outputs, and a headphone output. (Analog 8 in/8 out)

・Computer I/O compatible with all connections
Equipped with both Thunderbolt and USB 2.0 (USB 3.0 compatible) ports for connection to a variety of computers and devices, and equipped with class-compliant firmware that runs with standard OS drivers, enabling use with most audio software.

・Onboard DSP Mixing & Effects
Equipped with a 48-input digital mixer. Each channel features a 4-band EQ, gate & compressor, reverb, and 12 stereo buses, all of which can be processed in real time by the DSP.

- Equipped with modeled vintage effects
Features a compressor modeled after the legendary LA-2A and an EQ modeled after a British analog console.

- Excellent expandability and audio networking
Adding a second unit is simple: connect it with a CAT5e cable. Connect the third and subsequent units via the optional 6-port AVB Switcher switching hub. Any combination of the three models is possible.

- Audio networking with up to 256 channels
MOTU AVB allows you to build an audio network with up to 256 channels (128 inputs and outputs). A system can be built with simple wiring: connect the first unit to your PC via Thunderbolt and the second unit via a CAT5e cable and switching hub. Audio routing is controlled via dedicated software or a web browser.

- Web app control
AVB I/O allows you to control mixing, device settings, and even audio network routing via a web browser. It can be operated from a Mac or Windows computer, as well as from a tablet or smartphone connected via wireless LAN.

- Operates via wireless LAN even when used standalone without a computer.

MOTU AVB functions as a digital mixer on its own, but can also be operated via a network. Connections are possible via wired CAT5e or wireless LAN using a router such as Apple Airport.

- ADAT I/IO
The simple ADAT I/O allows for 16 channels of input and output at 44.1-48 kHz and 8 channels at 88.2-96 kHz.
