◆D-PRE (D-PRE Discrete Class-A Microphone Preamp)
The microphone preamp, the entry point for sound, determines the overall sound quality and indicates the direction of the mix, so it's important to devote maximum effort to it. The D-PRE discrete Class-A microphone preamp was created for this purpose. This premium microphone preamp, developed by Yamaha for high-end recording equipment, is also featured in the MGP series of mixing consoles, earning acclaim from engineers across the industry for its sound quality. The secret to its superior sound lies in its circuit design. The D-PRE microphone preamp employs an inverted Darlington circuit, traditionally used in high-end audio amplifiers. Its multi-stage configuration of amplification elements achieves high current and low impedance. The resulting sound is rich, with a natural openness and airiness, based on a smooth, crisp, and lustrous mid-low range. Aiming to faithfully reproduce the original sound's character with high quality, the D-PRE has been meticulously tuned to achieve flat characteristics across the entire frequency range.

◆The key to high-quality sound lies in the op amp.

For the development of the MG series, we developed a new, high-quality, custom-made op amp, the ""MG01."" While many op amps on the market emphasize electrical characteristics and efficiency, we crafted this op amp with a focus on sound quality. The MG01 op-amp is a product we're proud of, having optimized its internal components and wiring, and carefully selected materials such as high-quality silicon wafers and copper wire for superior performance.

◆SPX Digital Effects
Effect processing enhances the sound, enhancing its richness and refinement. Six programs are available, allowing you to color the sound in a variety of ways. You'll be captivated by the natural, realistic, and high-quality reverb and delay sounds.

◆Mono Input Channels for Maximum Channel Utilization
The mono inputs are equipped with high-quality Neutrik combo jacks, accepting both microphone and line-level signals. They also feature a 26dB pad for handling high-volume sources. Stereo line inputs on the MG12 and above are also equipped with standard XLR connectors, allowing you to fully utilize the channels.

◆Output Channels with Flexible Output Configuration
While smaller models tend to omit the main XLR output, all models feature XLR and phone jacks.

◆The robustness of the metal chassis
The powder-coated metal chassis enhances impact resistance, boasting unprecedented durability. The sleek design enables optimal convection cooling, and the internal layout separates the power supply circuitry from the analog circuitry, thoroughly eliminating the effects of noise and extending the life of internal components. Furthermore, the knobs have been carefully positioned to distribute impacts to the panel surface and absorb damage to the internal circuit board.
