■More than just a DI box, the BDI21 is an analog-modeling bass preamp/stompbox designed to compete with leading effects pedals on the market. With numerous built-in amps in one stompbox, you can experience everything from traditional bass amps to the deep bass of modern amps. The tube emulation circuit can be mixed with the direct bass sound using the blend control. For clarity and high harmonics, use the presence control, or the highly musical 2-band EQ optimized for bass guitar. The BDI21 can be used as a direct recording output with built-in speaker simulation, or as a standard active DI box in bypass mode. The output accepts either a 6.3mm mono phone jack or a gold-plated balanced XLR connector. A ground lift switch eliminates typical ground loops, and the unit can be powered by a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (sold separately).
