■ RC-505 is a new lineup of the LOOP STATION RC series that allows you to play back phrases that you come up with more and more. The RC series is the first tabletop type to be used by a wide range of players, regardless of genre or playing style, including vocalists, voice percussion, human beatboxes, guitarists/bassists, electric/acoustic instrument players, etc.
■ RC-505 has 5 loop tracks on the main unit. A variety of solo performances can be created by freely combining loop lengths, tempos, and play modes. In addition to playing the five tracks, you can record while playing a rhythm at a preset tempo. Various rhythm patterns such as rock drums and Latin percussion are built-in. You can choose from a variety of patterns to match the genre of the song you play. Up to 99 combinations of five tracks and rhythms can be stored in the main unit as phrase memory, achieving up to three hours of stereo recording.
■ The RC-505 can apply effects to input sounds such as vocals and guitar/bass. Built-in 21 types of input FX for recording. Including "SLICER", which cuts the sound continuously, "GUITAR TO BASS", which changes the guitar into a bass sound, "VOCODER", which uses the recorded sound as a carrier, and vocal distortion that gives a wild effect to the voice. It also has many effects that are effective for vocals, such as robot voices. In addition, the “INPUT FX” knob on the main unit can control the degree of effect in real time. Frequently used effects can be set to the [A] to [C] buttons, so that effects can be called up quickly with the touch of a button even during play.
■ In addition to the input FX, the RC-505 has a unique track FX dedicated to playback tracks. The "TRACK FX" knob on the main unit allows you to freely control the rotation speed of the turntable, and "VINYL FLICK", which allows you to add accents to songs, is a standby for real-time effects that excite live performances. By combining Input FX and Track FX, it is possible to create unprecedented sounds.
■ RC-505 supports input from various devices such as microphone, guitar/bass, keyboard, audio player, etc. Equipped with an XLR microphone terminal that supports phantom power and an INST terminal that supports stereo input. It also has an AUX input to connect an MP3 player, so you can perform while playing backing tracks. Also supports connection of headphones and external pedals. The rhythm sound can be output only to the headphones, which is convenient when using the rhythm sound as a click sound. By connecting an expression pedal (sold separately: Roland EV-5) or foot switch (sold separately: FS-5U, FS-6) to the CTL1, 2/EXP jacks, you can control various parameters and functions with your feet .
