Variations

This is a volume and tone control pot for guitars and basses made by CTS. Its 500KΩ resistance is ideal for humbucker pickups on SGs, 335s, and Custom Shop Les Pauls. Its B-curve specification(*) is often chosen as a tone pot due to its uniform resistance change and shaft rotation rate. It is an inch standard, primarily used by USA-made guitars, and features a split shaft with a knurled tip. This custom version reduces sound leakage when the volume is set to 0.

噂通り

韓国で買ってきた安いストラト（HSH）をカスタム中で、ボリューム用として交換しました。ボリューム感が増し、パリッと輪郭がある音になった印象です。インチサイズのつまみが余っていたのでこれにしましたがしっかりフィットしました。元々付いていたポットがミリのミニサイズだったので少々不安でしたがポットネジ径が3/8インチ（9.52mm）だったため、穴を10ｍｍに広げる加工しただけで他の問題はありませんでした。あまりボディ加工を好まない方は購入前にサイズを良く確認した方がいいと思います。端子も大きくてはんだしやすい感じです。自分にはコスパ良しで申し分ありません。

素晴らしい部品2

スクワイヤーのテレキャスターのボリューム用として交換しました。今回、トーン用にはCTS custom A500Kを使用し、キャパシターもオレンジドロップの716Pに交換しての感想ですが、ボリュームMAX時の音量が明らかに大きくなり、太く輪郭が明瞭な音に変わりました。理解が違うかもですが、ボリューム0のときはほぼ無音（雑音なし）でした。もともとがBカーブのポットが付いていたので、Bカーブを選びましたが、ボリュームを回していった時の音量の変化はとても自然な感じで、急激に大きくなったり小さくなったりはありませんでした。インチサイズだったので、プレート（金属）のポットの穴を10ｍｍに広げる必要があり、japan製やアジア製のギターでポット交換する方で工具等ない方はミリサイズを選んだほうが無難だと思います。結果的に大満足でした。
