An Introduction to BABICZ Products - Bridges that Boast 200 Times the Bonding Area!

There are many manufacturers of electric guitar/bass bridges, such as GOTOH, MONTREUX, and GRAPHTECH. Among these, BABICZ, of which Sound House is the new authorized importer, is one of the most unique and distinctive bridges. BABICZ is a guitar and bass hardware brand established in 2003 by Jeff Babicz and Jeff Carano, who were both former Steinberger employees. This brand is also known as a favorite of Billy Gibbons, guitarist/vocalist of the American three-piece rock band ZZ TOP. One of the main features of BABICZ products is the eCAM saddle, which was introduced in 2008. eCAM saddles have a contact area that is 50 times larger than that of a standard bridge. A set screw for adjusting the string height is attached to the rear of the saddle. By turning one of the set screws, the part on which the strings ride on rotates, and the string height is raised or lowered. By turning the other screw, the string height can be locked.
