This classic Neumann condenser microphone is ideal for use as a main microphone for orchestral recording, a spot microphone for instruments, or a vocal microphone. It features a large, dual-diaphragm capsule with three polar patterns: omnidirectional, cardioid, and bidirectional. A switch under the headgrille allows you to select between the three patterns. It also features a 10dB attenuation switch and a cutoff frequency adjustment switch.

Three Polar Patterns: The large dual-diaphragm capsule features omnidirectional, cardioid, and bidirectional patterns. A switch under the headgrille allows you to select between the three. The window above the switch indicates the polar pattern.

Maximum Sound Pressure Level: Activating the 10dB attenuation switch on the back allows the microphone to handle up to 127dB of sound pressure without distortion. An additional switch allows you to change the microphone's cutoff frequency, reducing low frequencies that directly interfere with the microphone amplifier.
