The 8040BPM boasts capabilities comparable to those of larger speakers in a compact size, making it a perfect fit for locations requiring a wide frequency response but limited space and utility. Recommended applications include near-field monitors, project/home studios, DAW workstations, broadcast control rooms, and broadcast trucks.

The unique, original-shaped, high-efficiency bass reflex port eliminates port noise, contributing to accurate and rich low-frequency reproduction. Furthermore, the synergistic effect of the DCW™ (Directivity Control Waveguide) and MDE™ (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) makes these speakers ideal monitor speakers. The result is tight sound image positioning and low distortion that reduces fatigue.

To achieve the ideal two-way multi-amp configuration, the crossover filter circuit in particular has been designed with a focus on sound quality.

Additional features include magnetic shielding, over-input protection, and a tone control DIP switch for room acoustic correction. Of course, it comes with the Iso-Pod™ (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler) common to the 8000 series, and there are screw holes on the back and bottom (M10) for securing mounting hardware.
