■ Impulse Signal Control

Many subwoofers suffer from the problem of large amplitude drivers blurring the impulse response.

The ""Impulse Control"" feed-forward correction system in The Really Mean Sub anticipates the next movement and prevents excessive movement before it occurs. As a result, extremely tight bass is achieved, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from mixing to mastering.

■ Correction via Control Software

In some cases, it is more effective to correct the room environment before correcting the sound of the mix.

The Really Mean Sub is connected to a computer via USB, and both the subwoofer output and main monitor output are controlled via software.

As a result, you can hear the sound accurately through the high-purity Class AB output stage, eliminating the distortion caused by the room environment.

■ Internal Structure for More Accurate Sound Reproduction

The astonishingly thick 24mm / sandwich-structure MDF enclosure completely cancels out the reaction forces generated inside. The vibration-reducing structure eliminates distortion caused by interaction, resulting in a more dynamic and accurate sound reproduction.

■Small Size, Big Sound

Despite its compact size of just 28cm in height, it features a 400W ICEpower amplifier. Even at high volumes, the bass remains remarkably clear.
