The Bellows is built with a transistor circuit that goes back to the basics of distortion. Its simple design, with only two knobs, allows you to create a surprisingly wide variety of sounds. You can enjoy creating sounds that go between the harsh tones you get from a vintage tweed amp without a master volume and the fuzz-like tones you get from a vintage tweed amp.

The amount of drive changes the character of the distortion. At low drive settings, a rough, but clear, warm distortion reminiscent of a tube amp is achieved. Gradually increasing the drive level eventually produces a 1960s-style, crushed fuzz tone. Depending on the drive setting, you can achieve a tone that suits any era of rock. Originally developed for guitar, it's also very effective for bass, with its growling lows and highs that don't get lost in the mix.

■Controls
1. Level: Sets the volume. The volume is changed by adjusting the bias applied to the transistor, so a slight noise is generated while turning the knob. This is due to the nature of the circuit and is not a malfunction. Once the volume is set, this noise disappears.

2. Drive: Sets the amount of distortion. Turning the knob counterclockwise produces a warm, rough tweed amp-like tone at low distortion settings. Turning it clockwise increases the thickness, resulting in a denser, fuzz-like tone.

Switch
This product uses a true bypass relay-based switch, so no sound will be output without power.

Power
This product can be powered by a 9V battery or a 9V AC adapter with a 2.1mm center negative plug. Daisy-chaining or using non-transformer power adapters may result in noise, so we do not recommend using them. Do not use power sources above 9V, as this may cause malfunction!
