Jaco Pastorius redefined not only the bass sound but also the bassist, fusing R&B, rock, jazz, classical, and Caribbean music. His visual approach to his instrument influenced bass designs, all of which were based on the Fender Jazz Bass. Jaco's mind, hands, and the distinctive sound of his sunburst fretless Jazz Bass now live on in the Jaco Pastorius Jazz Bass. Featuring an alder body, C-shaped maple neck, and pau ferro fingerboard, this guitar also features vintage-style single-coil pickups, reverse tuners, chrome knobs, and a neck plate bearing Jaco's name. It also includes a brown deluxe hard case, strap, and cable.
