JBL / CSM28

The JBL/CSM28 is an 8-channel rack-mount mixer recommended for store management, etc.

The CSM 28 is a facility mixer that packs all the functionality necessary for sound reinforcement in stores, workspaces, and other locations into a compact housing. Direct connection to a variety of devices and minimal additional equipment required simplify system construction. Operation is simple, allowing even inexperienced staff to achieve high-quality sound reinforcement.

The CSM 28 features 8-channel mixer functionality. Inputs include Euroblock microphone/line inputs with signal level switching and 27V phantom power, as well as RCA line inputs for direct connection to CD players and other devices.

The CSM 28 features two output channels. Each output has high and low tone controls, allowing you to adjust the sound quality without using external equipment. It also features a high-pass filter to prevent speaker transformer saturation when connecting a power amplifier to speakers with high impedance.

Only the functions required for actual operation are located on the front panel, preventing accidental operation. An optional remote controller allows you to adjust the output volume from a distance.

The ducking function reduces the volume of other signals when a signal is input to the channel set as the priority source, and smoothly returns to the original volume when the signal is terminated. Signals other than the priority source can also be muted using an external contact. The CSM 28 allows you to set two signals as the priority source.

The area around the level control knob lights green when a signal is detected. The output knob lights red when the signal is clipping. The entire area around the knob is brightly illuminated, allowing you to check the signal status at a glance, even in dark places.

A soft mute function prevents popping sounds when the power is turned on/off.

Rack mounting brackets are included, allowing one CSM to be installed in an EIA 1U space.
