■ Accurate and Musical Reproduction Capabilities Condensing the Adam Sound

Designed and optimized using a high-performance speaker measurement system by Klippel, Germany, the D3V features a highly symmetrical voice coil and ferrite magnet, minimizing unwanted distortion and ensuring linear woofer operation. The integrated concave cone, made of thick aluminum, offers a wide and linear operating range, providing uncolored sound even at very high output levels.

The D3V is a fully active speaker with four independent amplifier channels and a DSP-managed crossover. The woofer is driven by an 80W amplifier, and the amplified signal is sent to the right speaker via a link cable.

■ The D-ART Tweeter: A Quarter Century of Adam Audio Research and Development

As a result of a quarter-century of ADAM Audio's research and development of ribbon tweeters, the high-performance 1.5-inch D-ART tweeter was born. The diaphragms are hand-folded, and each unit is driven by a 40W amplifier. Similar to the tweeters used in other ADAM Audio series, the D-ART features highly precise crossover adjustments via a DSP.

The D3V features two passive radiators per speaker, with a total of four radiators supporting bass reproduction throughout the system. Each radiator utilizes stainless steel plates to optimize its moving mass, and the suspension employs specially stabilized, long-stroke rubber edges. This, in interaction with the main woofer, achieves a frequency response that extends firmly to deep bass, contributing to the overall system SPL.

■ Easy, High-Quality Playback with USB-C Connection

The D3V employs plug-and-play connectivity via USB-C, making it the most user-friendly monitor speaker in ADAM Audio's lineup. It functions as a DA converter when connected directly to a PC, smartphone, or tablet, eliminating the need for an audio interface. This digital connection enables high-quality audio playback without the compression and conversion that occurs with conventional desktop monitor speakers.

■ DSP Acoustic Correction for a Precise Listening Environment

The left speaker has three switches on the back to create a precise listening environment. ""POSITION"" considers the speaker's position in the room, ""DESK"" considers the size of the desk in front of the speaker, and ""ROOM"" considers whether or not the room has sound absorption treatment. These switches allow you to optimize the sound with simple operation.

■ Further Expandability with Balanced Analog Input

In addition to the USB-C input, the D3V also features a balanced analog input, supporting conventional analog audio playback. You can directly connect analog output signals from hardware such as synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, and DJ mixers, as well as the balanced output of audio interfaces. Switching between USB-C and analog inputs is done by pressing the volume knob on the left speaker.

■ Convenient Headphone Output and Included Stand

The D3V is designed with functionality and convenience in mind. Connecting headphones to the headphone output on the front panel automatically switches the playback sound to headphones. It also comes with a removable monitor stand that allows for a 15-degree tilt. Furthermore, each speaker has a standard 3/8-inch screw hole on the bottom, allowing it to be mounted on a microphone stand.

The D3V enclosure is made of high-quality injection-molded ABS polycarbonate, with thick walls and ample reinforcement to prevent vibration and unwanted resonance. The rounded shape reduces unwanted sound diffraction in the high-frequency range, continuing Adam's long-standing tradition of industrial design.
