Nuno Bettencourt, known for touring with Extreme, Generation Axe and Rihanna, is a guitar hero and an inspiration to millions of guitarists around the world. Although he is known for his electric work with the Washburn N4 Signature guitar, N uno and Extreme first came to prominence with the hit song “More Than Words”, which was recorded using an acoustic/electric Washburn Festival Series guitar. To this day, Nuno continues to feature Washburn Festival Series guitars in his acoustic compositions.

With this spirit and the desire to create an instrument that is perfect for both stage and studio, Washburn and Nuno have created the EA20S-Nuno Bettencourt. This guitar is a thin-body, auditorium-style acoustic/electric with a Florentine cutaway that provides easy access to the higher frets.

The top is made from book-matched solid Sitka spruce, with quarter-sawn scalloped bracing, and the back and sides are made from book-matched Pau Ferro. The smooth satin-finished mahogany neck provides the ultimate playing comfort, and is fitted with an Ovangkol fingerboard that matches the Ovangkol bridge. The fingerboard features Nuno's “mourning widow” inlay at the 12th fret. The Graphtech Nuvone nut and saddle provide the ultimate in tone transmission and sustain.

The chrome die-cast tuners provide ultra-precise tuning and stable tuning. The rosette features Nuno's signature “mourning widow” motif, which is also incorporated into the fingerboard inlay.

The EA20S-Nuno Bettencourt features a thin body that suppresses feedback, and is equipped with a Fishman Presys II 301T tuner/preamp/pickup combo, which delivers a natural-sounding amp tone.
