The Fireface 802 FS is the successor to RME's legendary Fireface 800 and is a high-end audio interface that combines uncompromising sound quality and stability, extremely flexible features and simple operability in a 1U-sized case.
■Audio interface
The Fireface 802 FS is a high-end USB audio interface with 30 inputs and 30 outputs, supporting 192 kHz.
It features ultra-low latency operation thanks to RME USB 2 technology, extremely reliable drivers, femtosecond (1/1000 trillionths of a second) jitter suppression thanks to SteadyClock FS, individually configurable reference levels for each input and output, four intuitive gain knobs and level/status LEDs on the front panel, full standalone operation, and a class-compliant mode that adds professional input and output to your iPad. It can also be used with the same operability on Windows/Mac.
The Fireface 802 FS is equipped with a variety of functions, including the DSP digital mixer TotalMix FX that enables flexible mixing and patchbay, RME's proprietary audio measurement and analysis utility "DIGICheck", and the USB controller ARC USB (sold separately) that can be connected directly to the main unit, providing professional performance for a wide range of uses, including as an audio interface, microphone preamplifier, AD/DD/DA converter (analog, ADAT, SPIDF, AES), monitoring mixer, digital format converter, and matrix router.
