G2X FOUR is a guitar effects and amp emulator with a newly developed multi-layer-IR function.

G2X FOUR is a guitar effects and amp emulator with over 100 built-in amp/effects models and the ability to simultaneously use up to 6 (+1 pedal effects) in any connection order.
It has 22 amp models employing the newly developed multi-layer IR and 79 guitar effects as standard, including modeling of famous boutique pedals, plus 50 effects scheduled for online distribution from the Handy Guitar Lab for G2 FOUR app for iOS and Android. More than 50 effects can be added from the Handy Guitar Lab for the G2 FOUR app for iOS/Android, which will be available online.
Equipped with a looper, rhythm machine, tuner functions, a headphone jack, and an AUXIN jack for music player input, the G2 FOUR can be used in all situations, from daily practice to the live stage.

Conventional IRs typically use a "single" impulse response to capture the characteristics of a speaker cabinet.
ZOOM's newly developed "multi-layer IR" technology uses three impulse responses captured at different volumes (LOUD/MEDIUM/SOFT).
The three IRs are dynamically blended according to the guitar's volume and the intensity of the picking, creating a different dimension of faithful and organic sound with a response similar to an actual cabinet's.

The UI has been redesigned to be manual-less, with foot-operated cursor-type switches, an apparent LCD screen, and a graphical icon display reminiscent of the actual instrument from which the modeling was taken.
