Walrus Audio's first bass pedal, Badwater, is an all-in-one preamp/D.I. that enhances the bass sound that is the key to an ensemble. Equipped with an optical compressor, overdrive, and a 4-band EQ section. Warm clean, rough chords, powerful distortion, and bright, crisp slap tones can all be achieved at will.

・sustain
The internal optical compressor is located at the first stage of the circuit and is always ON. When the Sustain knob is fully turned down, the compressor effect is minimized, and as the knob is turned up, the input signal is compressed, resulting in a rich sustain.
・drive & voice
Adds subtle to deep distortion to give the sound shine and edge. Use the voice switch to select the high end, mid-range, or low end band to increase the drive.
・level
The drive control is equipped with an independent level knob that boosts or cuts the drive signal.
・blend
Use the blend knob to blend the clean signal with the drive signal. The clean signal and drive signal work in parallel, so you can blend the clean signal with the drive signal to increase clarity.
・Shaping and EQ
A wide range of EQ options are available to suit any genre of music. In addition to the 4-band EQ (low / low mid / high mid / high), you can adjust the center frequency of the low mid and high mid using the ""LMF (Low Mid Frequency)"" and ""HMF (High Mid Frequency)"" knobs. LMF can be adjusted between 500 Hz and 2.4 kHz, and HMF can be adjusted between 3.5 kHz and 7.5 kHz.
