Hammond B-3X is a Hammond B-3 virtual instrument that runs on Mac/PC. IK Multimedia developed Hammond B-3X in collaboration with Hammond Organ Company in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and Suzuki Musical Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Hamamatsu, USA, to reproduce the real B-3 sound in the digital world.

The sound of Hammond B-3X is created not only by faithfully reproducing the sound of the organ itself, but also by combining multiple effects. In addition to stomp effects, Leslie? rotary cabinets, and guitar amps that can be mixed in parallel, post-effects such as compressors and EQs are also available. Comprehensive sound shaping is possible while reproducing the signal flow just like the real thing.

To provide the ultimate realism, the Hammond B-3X is based on the same mechanical operation as the real organ. The Hammond B-3X samples the sound generated by the 91 tone wheels from a meticulously maintained Hammond organ, and mixes the sound in real time according to the key played and the drawbar settings.

IK Multimedia's modeling technology faithfully reproduces the tone filtering, key click, and percussion sounds that are symbolic of the Hammond, as well as the chorus and vibrato circuits. All controls and circuits are modeled to IK's strict standards and have been repeatedly checked by the Hammond Organ Company.

The Hammond B-3X also simulates the difference in condition due to the age. You can control the balance of the tone, musical noise caused by generator leakage and crosstalk, and the boost level of the chorus circuit.

True Sound and Feel
The Hammond B-3X is designed to give you the feel of playing an actual B-3 in a digital environment. Everything from chorus/vibrato to the placement of the percussion switch is reproduced exactly as it was in the real machine. The inverted black and white keys can store 24 custom drawbar settings, allowing you to switch tones in real time. The Controls view is ideal for live use, and allows you to hide the keyboard and view the drawbars and switches in a larger view. It also supports MIDI assignments for the latest Hammond digital organs, so you can play and perform immediately.

5 types of stomp effects
The STOMPS section provides 5 stomp boxes (overdrive, graphic EQ, stomp chorus & vibrato, pedal wah, and spring reverb) taken from the familiar AmpliTube and T-RackS. These effects have been carefully selected to reproduce a wide range of sounds, and can be MIDI assigned for control when used on stage.

Realistic Leslie Sound
The CABS section allows you to use the Leslie unit modeling cultivated in the Leslie Collection, as well as guitar amp and cabinet modeling extracted from AmpliTube 4. It realizes the same sound making as the actual Leslie unit and guitar amp. The mixer also allows you to mix and control the Leslie, guitar amp, and D.I. sound.

Final touches can be done on its own
The final stage of the Hammond B-3X is equipped with a compressor, EQ, and reverb, so you can finish the sound with just the B-3X. These are extracted from the industry standard T-RackS.

The LIMITER 76 is a FET type compressor that creates a classic sound with a core. The EQ-81 adds smooth sound shaping and warmth like a classic console. Add width and depth to your sound with the final digital reverb.

The tonewheel sound is output after passing through controls just like the real thing, and undergoes deep, flexible sound shaping, including a Leslie speaker. The Hammond B-3X's sound, which is produced in the same way as a real Hammond organ, provides a next-generation playing experience worthy of Hammond's official approval.
