The composition is 2VCO + MULTI ENGINE, 1VCF, 2EG, 1VCA, 1LFO. In addition to the characteristic circuits common to the series, such as the wave shape that forms the overtone of the oscillator and the sync/ring switch, cross modulation, a sharp 2-pole low-pass filter, and a drive that adds thickness to the sound Equipped with a switch. Its sound covers all the variations from the warm pad unique to analog to the fat bass and good lead.

In addition to the 2 analog VCOs, the multi-engine mounted as the 3rd oscillator provides the appeal of digital sound. This engine is equipped with 3 different sound source types: noise, VPM, and user slot, and by utilizing the characteristics of the sound that is different from analog, it is possible to create a hybrid sound by making it sound together with the analog engine. It expands to infinity.

High-quality digital effects with 32-bit float processing further enhance the sound of the minilogue xd module. You can use 3 types of modulation effects, reverb, and delay simultaneously, and you can choose from a wide variety of choruses, ensembles, warm tape delays, and various reverbs. You can also load your own effect programs into the user effect slots.

User customization that brings out unlimited possibilities.

The minilogue xd module offers customization possibilities with an open environment. 16 user oscillator slots and 16 user effect slots are prepared in the main body for customization. Oscillators and effect programs made with SDK (Software Development Kit) can be loaded into the main unit via the dedicated librarian software.

Polyphonic step sequencer.

A 16-step step sequencer that is a major feature of the minilogue xd series. Every factory preset program has a sequence pattern embedded in it to expand your ideas.

This step sequencer supports real-time REC and step REC. Since you can directly select 16 step buttons, you can perform quick edits and improvisational performances such as step sound replacement and mute. Furthermore, the motion sequence that memorizes up to four knob movements and changes the sound over time makes it possible not only to continuously change the value, but also to intermittently store the value at each step. You can create different sounds for each step and arrange them, so you can expand the usage depending on your ideas, such as creating a drum pattern or SE from a single program.

These 16 buttons also function as keyboards with a little over an octave when you turn on Keyboard mode, which is convenient for checking the sound.

Supports poly chains.

The minilogue xd module can be combined with the minilogue xd series (*1) (*2) to enable poly assignment settings. By setting the master (main) and slave (sub) of the control, it will sound as an 8-voice polyphonic synthesizer (*3). It can be used for various purposes such as additional voice source of minilogue xd, or as a sound source of production system centering on DAW.

*1: The model with keyboard is System v1.1 or later.
*2: Any combination of xd and xd module is possible.
*3: Up to 8 voices in total, 4 voices each from 2 xd units. Specification that the pronunciation of the master side is given priority, and the fifth and subsequent voices are assigned to the slave side.
