TASCAM / MZ-223 Rackmount Mixer

The MZ-223 is a rack-mount mixer from TASCAM. Its five input channels and two microphone inputs can be routed to three areas. This single unit can be used to centrally manage complex sound systems with multiple playback devices and speakers, such as in stores, public facilities, and offices.

■Centralized Management of Up to 10 Input Sources
Each of the five inputs can connect two line input sources. Up to 10 input sources can be centrally managed. Channels 1 and 2 support PHONO input, allowing you to connect a record player.

■Simple Channel Operation
Switch between input sources and select output destinations with simple button operations. Flexible fader control adjusts the volume of each channel. The PFL button allows you to monitor the audio before fader processing.

■Microphone Inputs Ideal for Announcements
Two microphone inputs are provided on the front panel. The microphone output destination can be selected with the touch of a button. The TALKOVER function automatically attenuates the volume of background music when microphone audio is input. This makes microphone audio easier to hear when making announcements in stores and facilities. A 3-band EQ also allows for sound quality adjustment.

■Simple Output
The volume of each of the three output channels can be adjusted individually. When multiple speakers are installed in different areas of a store or public facility, you can control the volume of each with a single unit. Each output is equipped with a stereo LED level meter, allowing you to check the overall system volume balance. A 3-band EQ allows you to adjust the sound quality for each area. RCA unbalanced and XLR balanced outputs are provided, allowing you to select the connector that best suits your equipment.
