TASCAM / MZ-223 Rackmount Mixer

The MZ-223 is a rack-mount mixer manufactured by TASCAM. It features 5 input channels and 2 microphone inputs, which can be routed to 3 different areas. This single unit provides centralized management for complex sound systems in retail stores, public facilities, offices, and other locations that involve multiple playback devices and speakers.

■ Centralized Management of Up to 10 Input Sources

Each of the 5 input channels can connect to two line input sources. Up to 10 input sources can be centrally managed. Channels 1-2 support PHONO input, allowing connection of a record player.

* The two line inputs on each channel can be switched using the buttons on the front panel.


■ Simple Channel Operation

Input source switching and output destination selection are possible with simple button operation. Volume adjustment for each channel is controlled by highly flexible fader controls. The PFL button allows monitoring of the audio before fader processing.


■ Microphone Input Optimized for Announcements

Two microphone inputs are equipped on the front panel. The microphone output destination can be selected using the buttons. It also features a 'TALKOVER' function that automatically attenuates the BGM volume when microphone audio is input. This makes microphone audio easier to hear during announcements in stores and facilities. Sound quality can also be adjusted with a 3-band EQ.


■ Simple Output

The volume of the 3 output channels can be adjusted individually. When installing multiple speakers in different areas of a store or public facility, this unit allows for control of each speaker's volume from a single unit. Each output features a stereo LED level meter, allowing you to monitor the overall system volume balance. A 3-band EQ allows for sound quality adjustments tailored to each area. Equipped with both RCA unbalanced and XLR balanced outputs, you can select the appropriate terminal for your equipment.
