The Minimal Series Pedal Board Junction Box 4M is a junction box that allows you to make more efficient use of pedal board space. It has two mono inputs/outputs, a stereo input/output, and a MIDI input/output, allowing you to add input/output terminals to a variety of systems.
■Junction box
■Input/output terminals on the pedal board
Equipped with two mono inputs/outputs, stereo inputs/outputs, and MIDI inputs/outputs
All terminals are directly connected, so you can put all the inputs and outputs of the equipment in the pedal board together here. Simply connect the cables from the amplifier and other devices here to complete the pedal board setup.
■To use the pedal board effectively
Except for some expensive models, most pedal boards have a high edge, so if you place an effector on the edge of the board, the cable plug may get caught on the edge and the pedal may float.
If you step on the foot switch in such a state, it may lead to damage to the cable or pedal.
As a result, many pedal boards can only be used in a narrower area than their original size.
The Pedal Board Junction Box 4M has terminals on the side and top, so you can connect the cable without damaging it even if you place it exactly at the corner of the pedal board. This effect is tremendous, and you can use the space on your pedal board without wasting it.
If the board size can be reduced by one size by eliminating the waste of space on the board, it will be easier to carry.
■Mono input/output
Terminals 1 and 2 are mono input/output. Connect basic cables such as cables from an instrument to an amplifier.
■Stereo input/output
Terminals 3 and 4 are stereo terminals. Of course, they can also be used as mono terminals.
This terminal can be used in various ways. It can be used as an input/output to the amplifier's effect loop (SEND/RETURN), as an output terminal to a second amplifier, and is also effective for connecting to devices that use stereo cables, such as an amplifier's two-button foot switch or expression pedal.
If you use a Y-shaped cable, you can also use one terminal as two mono terminals.
The stereo terminals 3 and 4 have a lifted ground, assuming they will be used for an amplifier's effect loop, a second amplifier, an amplifier's foot switch, etc.
■MIDI input/output
Control via MIDI is not uncommon these days. In the past, MIDI was only used to control rack effectors, but now there are many models that can be controlled by MIDI, not only for multi-function effectors but also for amplifiers.
When connecting MIDI signals from a switcher to an amplifier, or when controlling MIDI across a pedal board, it is surprisingly difficult to connect MIDI cables one by one. MIDI terminals are large, and if you try to insert a cable into the terminal on the side of an effector, it may interfere with the adjacent effector.
If you connect a MIDI cable to the Pedal Board Junction Box 4M in advance, you can complete the setup by simply inserting the MIDI cable from above.
■Prevent unnecessary trouble
Live performances are very hectic. Sometimes, things that you can do normally as a matter of course can become impossible if you panic or panic.
To do this, you want to set up as much as possible in advance before going on stage. By using the Pedal Board Junction Box 4M, you can move the input/output location to match the stage configuration without changing anything in the pedal board, preventing unnecessary trouble.
■Prevents cable tangles
During live performances, equipment is placed in a cramped space on the stage. It is not uncommon for the amplifier input to be located behind the guitarist or bassist to the right. A normal pedal board has the input on the right and the output on the left, so the cables often get tangled while moving around during a live performance.
The Pedal Board Junction Box 4M allows the input and output of the pedal board to be in the same position, making it easy to decide the placement of the cables to be run. As a result, it also helps prevent cable tangles on stage.
■Completely passive design
The Pedal Board Junction Box 4M does not require any power supply. The LEDs do not light up and it does not change the sound. It is not a flashy pedal, but it is a reliable tool that can always stand on the edge of the board and handle all inputs and outputs.
■Powerful even on a small board!
The Pedal Board Junction Box 4M is the same size as a compact pedal. The smaller the board, the more effective the space utilization of the board.
Of course, it is also ideal for boards that incorporate large systems.
