◆D-PRE (D-PRE Discrete Class-A Microphone Preamplifiers)
The microphone preamplifier, the sound's entry point, determines the overall sound quality and indicates the direction of the mix, so it's important to put the utmost effort into its construction. The D-PRE discrete Class-A microphone preamplifier was created for this purpose. Developed by Yamaha for high-end recording equipment, this premium microphone preamp is also featured in the MGP series of mixing consoles, earning acclaim from engineers across the industry for its sound quality. The secret to its superior sound lies in its circuit design. The D-PRE microphone preamp employs an inverted Darlington circuit, a design often used in high-end audio amplifiers. By configuring its amplification elements in multiple stages, the circuit achieves high current and low impedance. The resulting sound is rich and natural, with a sense of openness and airiness, based on a smooth texture that adds crispness and luster to the mid-low range. Aiming to faithfully reproduce the original sound's character with high quality, the D-PRE has been meticulously tuned to achieve flat characteristics across the entire frequency range.

◆The key to high-quality sound lies in the op-amp.

In developing the MG series, we developed a new, high-quality, custom-made op-amp, the ""MG01."" While many op-amps on the market emphasize electrical characteristics and efficiency, we focused on sound quality when creating this op-amp. The MG01 op-amp was developed by optimizing its internal components and wiring, and carefully selecting high-quality silicon wafers and copper wire, which offer superior performance.

◆Mono input channel for maximum channel utilization
The mono input is equipped with a high-quality, renowned Neutrik combo jack, accepting both microphone and line-level signals. It also features a 26dB pad for handling high-volume sources. Stereo line inputs on the MG12 and above are also equipped with standard XLR connectors, allowing you to fully utilize the channel.

◆Output channel with flexible output configuration
While smaller models tend to omit the main XLR output, all models feature both XLR and phone jacks.

◆SPX Digital Effects
Effect processing enhances the richness and refinement of your sound. The SPX digital multi-effect processor included in the XU/X models offers 24 editable programs (6 on the MG06X) for versatile sound coloration. You'll be captivated by the natural, realistic, high-quality reverb and delay sounds.
Connecting the optional FC5 footswitch allows you to turn effects on and off with foot control.

◆Metal Chassis Proven Robustness
The powder-coated metal chassis enhances impact resistance, delivering unprecedented durability. The sleek design ensures optimal convection cooling, and the internal layout separates the power supply circuitry from the analog circuitry, thoroughly eliminating noise and extending the life of internal components.
