The famous Alnico Blue speaker unit featured in the VOX AC30. As its name suggests, it uses an Alnico magnet. It features a mellow attack reminiscent of the performances of Queen's Brian May, with warm lows, mellow mid-highs, and bell-like highs. It also produces musical compression when the volume is turned up.

In the late 1950s, the G12 T530 ""BLUE"" underpinned the sound and performance of a succession of guitar heroes. The ""GOLD,"" released in 2006, uses the same alnico magnet but achieves superior power handling compared to the ""BLUE,"" making it a popular model that complements modern amplifier designs. In 2008, the G10 GOLD was released, allowing users to enjoy Celestion's renowned alnico sound in a 10-inch speaker.
