■PlexiTone is a one-of-a-kind overdrive unit designed by Carl Martin, a company that has developed noiseless overdrives, boosters, and fuzzes that capture the nuances of guitar sounds, including the Hot Drive'n Boost series. Building on this expertise, PlexiTone delivers a wide range of overdrive sounds and control with a single unit.

PlexiTone features three channels: two overdrive channels—a crunch channel and a high-gain channel—as well as a boost channel that provides a 20dB gain boost. The crunch channel can create sounds ranging from subtle distortion to hard rock gain stage sounds, while the high-gain channel controls sounds ranging from rock gain stage to heavy high-gain drive sounds. The crunch and high-gain overdrive channels can be turned on/off with the DRIVE switch, and either channel can be selected with the SELECT switch. The boost channel is independent of the two overdrive channels, and is turned on or off using the BOOST switch. These switches allow for six different sound controls: bypass, boost channel only, crunch channel only, crunch channel + boost channel, high gain channel only, and high gain channel + boost channel, allowing you to create and control a wide range of overdrive sounds.
■Like previous Carl Martin products, PlexiTone is designed with a mains-powered circuit rather than battery-powered to ensure sufficient headroom and not to impair the tonal quality of the drive sound.
☆Function of each control
■CRUNCH: Crunch channel gain control. Turning it clockwise increases the distortion of the crunch channel.
■HIGH GAIN: High gain channel gain control. Turning it clockwise increases the distortion of the high gain channel.
■TONE: This is the tone control for the overdrive section (crunch channel and high gain channel). Turning it clockwise emphasizes the high frequencies, and turning it counterclockwise emphasizes the low frequencies.

■LEVEL: Sets the output level of the overdrive section (crunch channel and high gain channel).

■BOOST: This controls the gain of the boost channel.

■DRIVE SW: Turns the overdrive section (crunch channel and high gain channel) on/off.

■SELECT SW: When DRIVE SW is on, this switches between the crunch channel and high gain channel of the overdrive section.
